Woodworkers plan and complete cabinetry and furniture, as well as complete millwork projects using computerized machines. They cut, shape and assemble wooden articles as well as setup and operate a variety of woodworking machines.     Learning at Washburn Tech

    The cabinet and millwork program provides both theory and hands-on instruction. You will learn to work with blueprints, specifications and shop drawings, as well as operate power tools and equipment in design, layout and construction of projects. Our instructors emphasize selecting proper materials, determining the best procedures, manufacturing parts to specification, assembling and finishing. You will work both individually and in teams to plan, estimate and execute projects. Attending full-time, you can complete the program in two semesters, while part-time and high school students can finish in four semesters. Upon completion, you’ll earn a 48-credit-hour technical certificate and be eligible to complete an associate degree or more advanced degrees at .
