  • WHAT DOES A CERTIFIED PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN DO?

    Speed up your success with a career in the high-tech, fast-growing manufacturing industry. Use different technologies to set up, test and adjust advanced manufacturing machinery or equipment. Technology is moving the manufacturing industry quickly, so it is up to the certified production technician to stay on schedule and ahead of trouble.

    This program will prepare you to be a productive member of a manufacturing team. Instruction includes manufacturing processes and production, maintenance, safety and quality control. It also will prepare you to take the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) certification exams. Upon completion, you will earn a 14-credit-hour technical certificate and be eligible to take the MSSC tests as well as further your education in our Industrial Machine/Maintenance Technology program. 

    Please note, this program is only offered at Fort Riley and online. It is not financial aid eligible but does qualify for the Kansas Promise Scholarship.
